Music and Theater

College students are so much more than names in a rollbook. They can be singers, actors, and comedians. They can have hidden talents or obvious gifts. They can be funny, crazy, and even natural-born stars. We believe all students should exhibit their talents, no matter their major. That is why FC students enjoy extraordinary opportunities for cultural experience, not only as audience members, but also as participants and performers. Some of the cultural activites for student involvement are:

• Chorus —The group performs on campus throughout the year and also takes an annual cross-country tour.
• Theater— With productions every semester, including the popular Spring Musical, FC draws audiences from across the state.
• The FC Friends—The elite performing ensemble is extremely popular on campus. They perform locally and on their month-long tour around the country.
• Instrumental Ensembles —From classical to jazz, FC's ensembles have it all. The symphonic band takes an annual tour and other groups perform on and off campus throughout the year.

Students who prefer a front-row seat to a place in the spotlight can enjoy each of the shows mentioned above and can also attend the many shows sponsored by the Florida College Life Enrichment Series. Musicians, guest speakers and people of all talents come to FC throughout the school year to show us what they've got.
