Giving to Florida College

Notepad Trivia Answers

  1. C. Temple Terrace Public Library. The building which currently serves as the Student Center was known as Club Morocco in the mid-twenties, and later served as the Temple Terrace city office building. Currently, students can buy food at the Pelican’s Pouch—the last remaining holdover from FC’s pre-Falcon mascot—at the back of the Student Center.
  2. A. Babe Ruth and Al Jolson. Although they were here long before its birth, Ruth and Jolson were among those who visited Club Morocco during its existence.
  3. B. Five times, including the last three years. Since its inception in the late 90s, the Lady Falcons have had huge success, averaging 20 wins per season and the last three USCAA National Titles.
  4. D. Five. With the addition of Business Administration this year, Florida College now offers five bachelor’s degrees. The other four are Biblical studies, elementary education, liberal studies, and music.
  5. B. Roland Lewis. Roland Lewis did many things during his tenure at Florida College—including serving as principal of the high school and teacher, registrar and dean of the College—but he never served as its president. Wilson was the school’s first president (1946–1949), Cope the second (1949–1982), and Owen the third (1982–1991). C.G. “Colly” Caldwell has been president since 1991.
