Caleb Churchill

Caleb Churchill came to Florida College from Columbus, Indiana, and quickly became an integral part of the community at FC. He participated in the Phi Sig society, was the student assistant on the basketball team (even playing in one of the games), and was voted Mr. Florida College in his sophomore year.

Caleb recently graduated from the liberal studies program after only three years at Florida College.

One of the main reasons Caleb decided to stay at FC after his first two years was the quality of education—a “God-centered education,” as he called it.

“I loved the teachers I had in the first two years,” Caleb said, “and wanted an opportunity to have them in upper division classes, as well as an opportunity to graduate quickly. I saw this as a good opportunity to prepare myself for graduate school.”

“Growing up, I heard that FC didn’t have good teachers,” Caleb said. “But that was proven wrong. The education here has been superb.”

Caleb plans on beginning his masters in history at the University of Kentucky this fall. He hopes one day to teach high school social studies.
