- Board of Directors – Maurice served on the College’s Board of Directors for 22 years (May 1988 – May 2010), including four years as Chairman. His leadership was instrumental during the College’s transition from a two-year to a four-year institution.
- Director Emeritus – From May 2010 to May 2024, Maurice continued to support the College as Director Emeritus, offering guidance and wisdom.
- Family Legacy – Maurice’s legacy at Florida College extends through his family, with his two sons and three grandchildren as proud alumni. One of his sons currently serves on the Board of Directors.
- Generous Donor – Maurice and his wife, Linda (Class of ’62), were significant donors, contributing to two major capital campaigns. Boswell Hall’s wing named in their honor stands as a testament to their generosity.
- Friend to Youth Award – In 2006, Maurice was honored with the Friend to Youth award, recognizing his unwavering commitment to Florida College students.
- Engaged Alumni – Maurice was a regular attendee at events like Golden Grads, where he enjoyed reconnecting with fellow alumni and sharing his experiences.
