Mechanical engineers form the backbone of the engineering field, having a major role to play in all of the great innovations that impact our lives. A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.M.E.) at Florida College offers students a broad and versatile education of engineering principles, particularly with principles of the design and analysis of mechanical systems including materials, mechanics of solids, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics and automotion. Students will be prepared to apply mathematical and scientific principles to the design, development and operational evaluation of physical systems used in manufacturing and end product systems. Because of the versatility and foundational nature of mechanical engineering, B.S.M.E. graduates go on to have exciting careers in virtually every field of engineering, including aerospace, automotive, biomedical, industrial and more.
