FC SERVES

FC SERVES is Florida College’s outreach initiative that provides opportunities for students to support non-profit organizations in the Tampa Bay Area.

Serving God and Man

As part of our mission to serve God and our fellow man, we believe in service as part of the Florida College experience. Engaging students in participating in community service broadens their world view and prepares them for a lifestyle of Christ-centered service and leadership after college. We are proud to live and serve the Tampa Bay Area.

Impact Day

Impact Day will be September 25th, 2024

In 2023, Florida College participated in its inaugural campus day of service, Impact Day, where students and faculty came together to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the Tampa Bay community.

On this day, our entire student body and faculty and staff are invited to join together to participate in service projects for over 30 nonprofits around Tampa Bay. Some of these projects include reading to children, packaging meals for needy families, cleaning up local parks, creating care packages, writing cards to veterans, and serving meals to the underprivileged.

Through Impact Day, our aim is for our students to foster a heart of service for both God and their community. And beyond their college experience, we hope each student’s heart of service grows into a lifelong passion of selfless giving to others.

Serving and volunteering teaches us as FC students that there is a much bigger community around us that needs help, and that we have the ability to give help that’s needed. Our service is important for many reasons, but especially because it brings the light of Jesus into our community.

The mission of Florida College includes the practice of serving God and man. When we see neighbors in need, our response is to help as we can. Our engagement with local nonprofits does not mean we endorse all that each organization stands for.
