FC Alum Making Faith His Mission

Jackson Sneed (’20) is using his Florida College experience to inspire others to love Christ. A native of Florence, Alabama, and second-generation Falcon, the organizational communication major arrived on campus in 2016 and soon immersed himself in the lively student-life, serving as an officer for Sowers Club, Phi Sig and a member of Friends, various music ensembles, and the AV team.

In 2021 he stepped into a creative video production role with Arctic Wolf, a national leader in corporate cybersecurity. It was there that he was inspired to use the same tools to teach people about God’s truth and knowing Jesus and His love.

Sneed soon joined forces with FC alum Sam Peters, PhD, to launch InLight Media, a digital media organization offering people biblical answers to their biggest questions.

“There is such a need for SEO-friendly video content from a New Testament Christian perspective, beyond church live streams,” he explained. “Our mission revolves around the idea of creating well-produced content to answer the big, spiritual questions people are always asking. People aren’t typically walking into church buildings to ask those questions anymore; they’re looking for answers online.”

Today, he and Peters are focusing their efforts on expanding the content produced by the 501(c)3 organization. All content is available free of charge online.

Now located in Illinois with his wife and son, Sneed says the Chicagoland area has afforded countless opportunities for Florida College connections.

“You can go anywhere in the country, whether a  Hutchinson Bell event or a church building, and find people who are part of the FC family. Florida College is a constant in my life and I’m very grateful for it, because those connections helped InLight happen and made me realize, ‘I can do this. I can make a difference in the kingdom.’”
