Building Trust and Building People: Reese Haley’s Road from FC to Sales Career

December 3, 2025 | 2 min read

Graduating from Florida College in 2022, Reese Haley entered the business world with a clear purpose: to build trust through meaningful relationships. He carried with him values and experiences that continue to shape how he works, leads, and serves others. Now, as a Territory Manager at Dyke Industries, Reese is not only building a career in sales, but laying the foundation for a future dedicated to developing people.

Reese’s role at Dyke Industries places him at the intersection of business and connection. His work extends beyond providing products, it’s about building relationships that last.

“What I love most about my job is connecting with people,” Reese explains. “I get to build relationships in a way that allows my customers to put their business’s confidence in me. Understanding a customer’s needs, earning their trust, and delivering a product that genuinely helps them, that’s what makes my work meaningful.”

For Reese, sales is not transactional, but relational. His success is measured by the trust his customers place in him, trust that keeps partnerships strong and sustainable.

While focused on growing his career one customer at a time, Reese’s long-term goals extend beyond sales.

“Ultimately, I want to be in a position where I can manage a sales team,” he says. “Building off the customer relationships that I enjoy so much and focusing on developing people, helping them reach their full potential.”

The foundation for this approach was laid at Florida College. Reese credits FC for shaping not just his skills, but his character.

“Florida College prepared me in my career by pushing me to be different,” he reflects. “The expectation is to be like Christ, honest, humble, disciplined, respectful, and taking pride in everything you do. These qualities elevate your value within any organization.”

What Reese remembers most about his time at Florida College are the relationships with his professors.

“You are not just another number in the classroom,” he shares. “The teachers truly care about their students’ success. They create an atmosphere that is both supportive and challenging, preparing us to be lights to the world.”

Today, Reese embodies the spirit of Florida College in his career and his mission. He represents not only Dyke Industries but also the FC values of honesty, humility, discipline, respect, and pride in one’s work. Looking back, he’s grateful for the lessons that shaped him; looking ahead, he’s committed to building his career on the same foundation of trust and character that has guided him from the start.

“Florida College taught me that your value isn’t only in what you accomplish, but in how you live,” Reese says. “That lesson is something I try to carry into every relationship, every opportunity, and every challenge.”
