What sets a Florida College teaching degree apart from other teaching degrees is our focus on a Christian worldview and biblically grounded perspective.
The Education Department at Florida College aims to share in fulfilling the college’s mission and philosophy, facilitate the development of professional knowledge and skills in those who will be teaching others, and prepare graduates to meet the state of Florida certification requirements and become productive members of their educational institutions and communities.
The department emphasizes research-based, best teaching practices with a spiritual focus on graduates behaving ethically, providing service to others, and being godly influences. Students learn theory in the classroom, see it in practice in internship experiences, and hone their classroom management skills in a supportive and nurturing environment. Students also have access to faculty, staff, and cooperating schools for support.
