New Chatlos Library Set to Open Fall 2022

The William F. Chatlos Library is under construction as it transforms from a traditional library into an open and vibrant technology and learning hub. A major project highlight includes the Digital Media Lab with a related control room and media storage. In addition, the improved spaces will serve the students with:

• Mac Lab for students to utilize their skills with editing software
• Digital Media Lab for students in Florida College’s Bachelors of Communication with a specialization in mass media to perfect skills using top-of-the-line equipment
• Five private spaces available for student collaborations, with equipment to aid in presentation performance
• Reading Room for uninterrupted study sessions overlooking areas surrounding the school
• Multi-use classroom available for special presentations
• Starbucks Café

The completed project will also feature a reorganization of all library materials, including the College’s extensive special collections.

The newly renovated Chatlos Library will debut in fall 2022.
