Ready to Make A Lasting Impact: Noah Works’ Journey from Learning to Leading

Florida College graduate Noah Works (’24) is embarking on a journey from a diligent student of the Bible to a preacher in training at the Douglass Hills church of Christ in Louisville, Kentucky. Works’ passion for sharing the word of the Lord and his commitment to learning and growth have paved the way for this opportunity.
Throughout his time at Florida College, Works immersed himself in various leadership roles, both on and off campus. He was not just a student; he actively participated in the community, gaining valuable experiences that contributed to his personal and spiritual development. During his time in college, he preached at Lake Gibson church of Christ in Lakeland, Florida for two years. On campus, the Bible classes, particularly Dr. McClister’s New Testament Backgrounds course, broadened his perspective on studying the Bible. These classes opened his eyes to new dimensions of biblical understanding, providing a solid foundation for his future endeavors. Additionally, he was inducted into Sigma Tau Delta, a member of Alpha Club, the Male Spirit Leader for Arete, a Senior Senator on SBGA, and a speaker at Sowers Club.
During his junior year, Works seized the opportunity to become an intern at the Douglass Hills Church of Christ in Louisville, Kentucky. This experience was transformative, as he preached regularly, taught teen Bible classes, organized events, and connected with the church members on a deeper level. What stood out for him was the warm reception and acceptance he received from the church members, making him feel like an integral part of their local body of Christ.
