For Faith Brown (’22), a life of purpose has always been rooted in a desire to serve. Now Director at Life Centers in Indianapolis, she finds herself right where God placed her: walking alongside women in moments that matter, offering help, hope, and truth with grace.

Faith joined the team at Life Centers shortly after graduating with a Bachelor’s of Art in Communication and a minor in Biblical Literature. What began as a simple volunteer interest quickly became full-time work. Within a year, she was promoted to director of one of the organization’s five locations.

“I didn’t set out to be career driven or climb the ladder,” she said. “Just to serve and make a difference. And God has taken care of the rest.”

Faith’s work is often intense and deeply personal, supporting women through high-pressure decisions with compassion, especially when a baby’s life may be at stake. The foundation laid at Florida College continues to support her daily. Bible courses equipped her with Scripture she now shares with clients. Communication classes taught her to speak clearly and compassionately. And the FC community taught her to start with prayer.

“My professors and friends taught me to give everything to God and pray about everything first—which I often do before and after seeing clients, on my way to work, and on my way home from work. And all glory goes to God when hearts are changed.”

Outside the classroom, Faith’s involvement in student organizations prepared her for large-scale event planning and leadership in her current role.

“These programs grew my people skills, impromptu speaking abilities, comfortability around strangers, large event planning and coordinating, teamwork skills, and servant-leadership—all for the glory of God!”

Reflecting on her time at FC, she said what meant the most was the close-knit environment—students and professors alike united in a greater mission.

“It was always about more than academics. They knew that if God was first and they taught us to love Him, love others, and be moral, creative, and productive contributors, we would go far in life.”
