Calling all directors, producers, and artists! Footlighters assist FC’s theater productions by creating and decorating sets, costume design, AV, and much more as opening night nears.
Each spring, Florida College’s chorus rehearses a performance to take on the road, singing sacred and secular music at distinguished venues. The chorus will tentatively travel to Italy in 2023.
Internships are a great way for students to connect with future employers while building skills for the workforce. Florida College’s reputation and alumni networking helps current students explore job opportunities.
Friends is a group of students talented in performing popular music. Performers are selected by audition each fall, with help from the administration. Friends represent FC at performances both on and off campus throughout the academic year. Friends typically embark on an extensive tour after the spring semester concludes.
The tight-knit, acoustic band Unplugged is one of Florida College’s newest performing ensembles. The band tours the country throughout the year as ambassadors for the college, while putting on a great show for Hutchinson Bell events!
The FC Accents are an A Capella group on campus that specializes in the jazz and pop genres. The tight harmonies that you hear in the group are sung by elite vocalists chosen by audition each year to perform on and off campus throughout the school year. This small group of 6-8 singers provides an unique opportunity for students to develop their ability to sing harmony, blend with a small group, and allows for more occasions to sing a solo as part of an ensemble.

We offer individual instrument lessons for the following:
Wind, Jazz, Chamber, Strings, A Capella: Florida College’s music department has them all! Any student may audition and many ensembles are for college credit. These ensembles may be used as their own performance, or aid in other productions, such as chorus or theater. Among art and music colleges in Florida, we get noticed for our wide range of performance opportunities and variety of styles.
